《NBC News》報導，川普提名共和黨籍美國喬治亞州參議員 Tom Price 做衛生部長，學者批評他只為有錢人服務無助病人。
紐約大學公共關係研究所所長 Sherry Glied 表示：「Tom Price 曾贊助讓穿甲彈更容易取得的立法過程，他也曾投票反對將菸草立法列入藥物管理。」
「他也曾投票反對提供資金對抗愛滋病、瘧疾與肺結核，他反對擴展國家兒童健康保險計畫。他還支持要讓醫院有權利拒收尋求非緊急醫療協助、卻無力負擔自負額的歐巴馬健保保戶...。」
「他反對幹細胞研究、反對增加國家健康機構預算，還反對最近通過實施的 21 世紀醫療法案，更對 Cancer Moonshot(現任美國副總統拜登主導的研製治療研究計畫) 表示憤怒。」

（中央社華盛頓15日綜合外電報導）美國總統當選人川普（Donald Trump）交接團隊今天在聲明中表示，川普將提名律師佛里曼（David Friedman）出任駐以色列大使；佛里曼則表示，他期待在耶路撒冷任職。
美國駐以色列大使館過去數十年來一直位於特拉維夫。川普在競選期間曾誓言要把美國大使館遷到耶路撒冷，此舉幾乎肯定會引發全球穆斯林不滿。
川普在聲明稿中表示，「（佛里曼） 是我長年的好友和信賴的顧問。而在我們強化和盟友的關係，戮力中東和平之際，佛里曼和以色列堅實的關係，將奠定其外交使命的基礎，成為我們國家龐大的資產。」
